We started in the garden, where white beans turned ripe for harvesting.
They were picked and processed by the girls.

The tough job of digging up the soil for autumn was done by the boys.

The kids put up a private show for her.
She even sang along the Hungarian songs, surprising and impressing us by how much she could still remember.

Until our next visit, it will be Nagyi who keeps her up to date with developments in our modern life.

Singing and acting was so much fun, we did it again and again also at home - to the joy of Nagyi and Nagypapa.

And then came finally, officially Annie's hour - she could take her own kayak to the river !

We only found out after the training.

Susu and her Mom also prepared a farewell surprise pancake party for the kids. If everything goes as planned, we are not going to see Susu for the next 2-3 years before she returns from Australia again.

And so I actually had to return to Gyor to pick up a package ordered a couple of days after we left. This time alone.
We used the time with Mom to enjoy a lazy summer afternoon.
Why do I have that big nice white bandage around my finger?
That's something for the next blog.
