Our weekend in Holland was great.
Destination - Den Haag
Annie was so delighted to cycle to the grocery shop with Anna & me.
Something we cannot really do at home.
And then she learnt she could scan in everything we bought & had to pay for !
This was really fun ! Annie as Cashier Lady.
She couldn't miss the opportunity to bike to the shop again for a million. Luckily we forgot to buy a bottle of glue. This time J & Hanna came with us.
Even the downpour we had to wait out was like an adventure.
After a Hockey game & Horseback riding lesson we went to the Movie Theater to see Avatar - The Last Airbender 3D in Scheveningen - and finished off our busy day with a BBQ.
Sunday we made a trip to Wassenaar, a wealthy suburb of The Hague with a large community of expatriates, diplomats and businessmen.
It offers parks, bicycle paths & a long, wide beach.
We didn't have the time to see the city center but maybe next time.
After a long walk in the forest & dunes with several unplanned D-tours we finally reached the seafront.
The kids promised not to get wet.
I heard this before. And didn't believe them.
Packed a 2nd set of dry clothes anyway.
Here is a demonstration why kids love dogs and dogs love kids.
They are equally playful and enjoy the moment - now & here.
D. as usual attracts a nice four-legged fellow.
And A. as usual has no problem whatsoever with playing the games of older boys like Marcel.
J. alone & with Hanna
The old & wise stayed safe & warm while watching the restless youth ...
... until Annie took advantage of Daddy's pre-warmed jacket.
It was time for us to retreat to a Pancake house to replenish the energy lost before we returned home.
And while the kids' interest focused on games to play ...
... I looked around and admired the way Anna & Valer managed to remodel and furnish their appartment.
I found many good, elegant and practical ideas for our remodeling project coming up soon.
