2010.07. - Siofok / Balaton !
One week later than planned but we made it to BALATON !
We wished the temperature to be like a week ago (+10C and more) -
- still it was better to have healthy kids & 24C than 38C with sick kids who are not allowed to go into the water & complain.
We strolled through the harbor area.
Dana played with a BULL.
Annie played with a BALL.
On Day 2 nothing could hold us back ! Water and air temperature stood around 20 in the morning.
Since everybody else trusted the weather forecast (rainfalls all afternoon), we had the beach to ourselves for hours.
Not that it was too warm.
Annie quickly looked for a nice cuddling place to get wrapped around...
... while Daniel just kept floating away....
... until he was no more than a tiny dot next to the buoys on the horizon.
Julia's knee kept her on dry grounds.
She wasn't too sad - finally she could read as much as she wanted to. She finished one and a half book on the Kindle.
And by guarding our stuff, she allowed us to go and discover the "Golden Beach" of Siofok ...
.. with the famous "Coke Club".
Annie took every opportunity to lie down & get some rest ...
.. or rather to pose like a celebrity.
Let it be a hammock or a "BBQ Doughnut".
It was fun anyway.
We like empty beaches.
So easy to watch our kids if there is no crowd.
Hey Dana - time to pass on the mattress to your little sister.
How about some swimming ?
Thanks.
Look Mom what I can do ! Here I come big waves !
Next time I'll be better.
Then I'll also have my bathing suit on and not leave it in the car again.
Should we go on the water bike or on the mattress ?
Why not use both ?
D came up with the idea of sliding down from the bike onto the mat.
Our time at the Lake was running out ...
... but who could leave without having cotton candy at least once ?
Mmhhhh.
It smells good, it feels good.
Let's eat it !
Looks like it wants to be eaten.
Mine too!
This big fluffy thing will shrink to nothing within minutes.
Good-bye Balaton ! See you next summer !
