I was in Györ.
Still member of the national kayaking team and holder of 2 bronz medals from the Junior World Championship. I was in the final stage of preparation for the graduation exams and for the entrance exams of my next stop, College. Feeling grown up, eager to leave the secure home of my parents and to start to find my path to live my own dreams.

A great opportunity!
It inspired me to look back at the time how I spent it. It also helped me to re-connect with the past for which I had no time or need before.
First I accompanied my Dad to his second favorite place, the Library (garden being the first) and wondered how short a morning can be after 3 hours of reading.
It would also need an alternative for those who would like to visit the Library but cannot climb the many stairs leading up to the entrance!
My Mom gave me company and also helped to look for my "pool-bracelet" (the strap you get to enter and exit the pools and wear on your wrist normally) without success. I searched the bottom of the pool and found no trace of my strap but one ID card of another visitor and 300 Forints in bills and coins.
Then I took the train to Vienna where Gudrun and Siegfried made sure to make the best out of my short stay. They introduced me to a very nice Italian restaurant next to Stephans Dom where we had a fine lunch, shared some good laughs and exchanged recent experience and future plans.
I was happy to see Frankfurt again -
which also made me think of one of the changes on the airport which many tourists must very well welcome I am sure -
seats where you can put up your feet and even sleep comfortably in case you find yourself stranded unexpectedly.
At home I found my "left-behind" family resting after an also very busy weekend packed with activities. One of their highlights was the Fun & Action Motorshow where they could watch stunts on 2 and 4 wheels including Monster Trucks, flying bikes and cars driven on 2 wheels on the side or on the back.
Here are some the great pictures Julia took with her camera for the blog.
