2008.05.11. - Parties & Bruises

Somewhat delayed but not forgotten!
Annie finally got to celebrate her 5th birthday with her friends.

We looked long to find a dancing ballerina for her cake but could not find any so she chose a riding queen dressed all in black with a quite terrifying look and in a threatening posture.

Not quite what five year olds should have on their birthday cake I thought - so I vetoed as you can see on the cake and replaced the fighter with a fairy.

After the party Annie visited one of her best friends Giselle while Daniel and Julia had their friends over at our house.

Recently, I entered into a kind of competition with Daniel unintentionally - it was the bruising race.

You may judge who won by comparing either the way how we got our wounds or by their size (:).

Daniel managed to first crash into the instructing teacher at school while practicing cycling with one hand in the air, then he collided with his friends who all drove small toy cars down from a hill.

I was rushing to keep an appointment and carried my laptop and telephone down the stairs with the cable dangling. It happened to get under my foot, rolled away with me sliding down too.

We both survived - this time (:) - to make it to the award ceremony!
P.S. - The next thing after applying an ice-pack to my leg was to back-up all my data!
