2010.12 - Concerts, Cookies, Xmas Bazaars

Julia got to perform in the choir for the School Xmas Concert. The Theme was: Light

For most of the concert the church was dark or lit only by candles - that's why the videos are also so dark.

The first song was called "When will we see the Little One"

"Noel" was also on the program:

Dana's class on stage.

He did the moderation of the show together with a girl from his class.

And he played the guitar and presented his speed stacking skills.

Speedy he had to be ...

... the class party was not over yet when he had to perform at the Guitar Concert of the Music School.

We just got home by 9pm after a long day before the Stomach bug cought up with D. He threw up in the evening, then in the morning. Stayed home for two days to recover again.

No problem - I got my private concert at home from Annie and her friend:

And this was their production of Xmas Cards for the School Xmas Charity Bazaar.

The preparation for Christmas also involved the baking of traditional German fruit loaf cakes for donation purposes.

The project was organized by school and took place in the Villa built for the financier Wilhelm Carl von Rotschild at the end of the 19th century. Nowdays it serves as a one Michelin star decorated Kempinski gourmet restaurant.

Its kitchen was made available and its staff was teamed up with the school kids to bake the cakes.

And even in this busy pre-Xmas stage there is time for some ordinary fun.
Here is a domino chain the kids built and filmed with Katie:
