It was hard to come back to Germany after all the adventures of the summer break in Hungary and Austria.
But life goes on.
And so did Julia's academic progress too - from primary school (1-4 grades in Germany) to 5th grade.
Being accepted to her new private high school was an incredible achievement - she became one of the 30 students selected from more than 1000 applicants.
She deliberately chose this "all girl school" which I will later admit turned out to be tremendously beneficial for her.

Daniel moved on to 3rd grade but playing still remained his number one priority compared to schoolwork.
He finally got his first heelys and mastered to roll with them smoothly within a day.

Annie started her last preschool year at the American and German Kindergarten.
This doesn't keep her from dancing (all the time) ...

or playing with her friend, Giselle...

or (convincing and) helping me bake a cake.

Due to the beautiful late summer days we continued to make some nice trips on foot (with Bettina, Ingo, Alex and Katharina all around town, over the meadows, through the parks and along little creeks) and one-day car/motorbike rides for example to the "Hattsteinweiher Lake".

While the kids played for hours with and in the water and sand, Norbert and I caught up with some of the latest of articles of the Economist.

This month Julia and I also invited Sona and Katie on a "field trip". We went to the Main Tower (oberservation deck and bar/restaurant at 200 meters) for a cocktail in Frankfurt

and then ate out in a Chinese restaurant on the famous "Fressgasse" (center of shopping and gastronomy).
