"Let's go kids and discover the world ! Make friends ! Take on new adventures!"
This could have been also our motto for the weekend in Munich.

While Demeter - the Greek Goddess of nature, ruling the fruitfulness of the earth- has been clearly full in action lately, so were we in some other ways.
Thanks to clear sky and summer-like spring days we spent Saturday and Sunday outdoors. The 6 hours wasted in traffic jams on the way to Munich were quickly forgotten. (We needed only half the time for the way back home, probably because we avoided the A3.)

As always, Dorothy and Horst, our hosts were more than generous to us. Finally, we got to see their sweet little son, Karl and re-connected with their girls Christina and Olivia.
After a short bike trip to their beautiful, peaceful local "biergarten" we decided to make simple things more complicated and went to the "Englischer Garten" , one of the biggest public city parks in Europe.

In the park by the "Kleinhesseloher See" we found the "Seehaus", a beer garden with appr. 2,500 seats where we "re-fueled" our energy for the rowing and pedaling to come.

This beautiful weekend was rounded up by a visit to Havana. No, not to Cuba, but to a nice Cuban restaurant in Darmstadt.
